I thought you guys argued that guns increase the likelihood of suicide?

That would take a real toll on the trans community. Let's think about this rationally for a second

As a trans person, while I’d agree with you in the past, the rhetoric has shifted somewhat. With this current administration and ICE rolling around, I think it’s best to have a gun

Are most trans people here illegally or am I missing something?

ICE doesn’t care if you’re legal or not. They’ve sent lawful US citizens abroad to prison camps and detained people going through legal processes. Even if you’re white, who will they be after next if not trans people? It’s best to be pre-emptive

Sounds pretty similar to the ATF's enforcement of weapons rules but I never saw trans people complaining about those. I'm sorry though.

Government tyranny in any form is unacceptable however it also very much is a black or white scenario where you are either with it or against it.

Aside from this, all forms of oppression are tied to each other. ICE is the main reason I’ve changed my opinion on guns- everyone should have one, especially if you’re a minority

The thing is i do agree that tyranny is unacceptable. While in an ideal society we would have a better structured government and less guns going around, for now guns are widely distributed and the government has too much power in everyday life. The executive branch is overreaching. Guns and political action are necessary for this reason
