She was in a beach house in a civilian area near no military targets. That is why she stayed and thought she was safe. But when Israel bombs innocent civilians located nowhere near military targets your response is “oh yeah well what about the terrorists.”

The suffering inflicted by Israel is so visible that I can no longer ascribe this apologism as originating from ignorance. It is simply evil. You do not see Israel’s innocent victims as people. The Armenian genocide was “combatting terrorists.” So was the ethnic cleansing of Ngorno-Karabakh. And the genocide of the Herero and Nama. And the Guatemalan genocide. And South Africa’s invasion of Angola.

If one was combatting terrorists maybe they wouldn’t be murdering beloved turtle biologists. Righteous anger is great motivation to become one. Hezbollah only exists because of Israel’s invasion 40 years ago.
