Idk, I think the people who died fighting in the Civil War and the World Wars deserve to be honored

Memorial Day was specifically created after the Civil War as a way to honor the dead from that war. Veterans’ Day is celebrated on November 11th because that’s the day the armistice that ended active warfare in WWI. Those are specific.
