I don’t understand why Trump wanted it so badly? Was it purely a vanity thing? Also, what gets me about it is that if he did in fact win, people wouldn’t be celebrating him for his achievements, they’d just be using vague buzzwords and posting with the intent of pissing people off. That’s the kind of political environment we’re in and it’s so weird and confusing

I think he might, in his dementia-riddled mind, actually believe what he’s doing contributes positively to world peace so he’s owed the prize. Or more likely, he’s after the ~$1 million monetary award that comes with it.

His lobbying for the prize, even if he DID do something worthy of it, just kind of sours the whole thing, bc it makes it seem like any humanitarian attempts he did make were for his own vanity project. Im glad he didn’t get it. A few months of talking to world leaders in your presidency doesn’t mean shit, he can have it if he well and truly earns it

I didn’t see the real winner talk about how she’s owed the prize all the time. She’s just put all her energy doing things that prove she deserves it lol
