The Dow is only indicative of corporate success, not consumer buying power. If anything, a higher Dow just means the rest of us are being especially fucked over

oh wait it’s important to note this is the annual change, not monthly. Monthly was 0.5%

This refers to the producer price index (PPI). The cost for them to make goods has gone up 4% over the past year. These will likely be passed on to the customer, and may be a leading indicator for the CPI though
