How do you not realize that in order for this hypothetical scenario to actually be a scary experience for you it necessarily means that you would need to be a racist and bigoted person to begin with

I live in a big city which means I spend 24 hours every single day with every single type of person imaginable. I interact with minorities, undocumented immigrants, trans people, homeless people, mentally ill people. I DO NOT LIVE IN CONSTANT FEAR BECAUSE I AM NOT RACIST AND BIGOTED AND HATEFUL

LET ME BE CLEAR: IF YOU ARE SCARED OF MINORITIES SIMPLY EXISTING AROUND YOU, YOU ARE RACIST

No you buffoon, his point is that minorities etc. are inherently unpleasant to be around therefore spending 24 hours with them would be unpleasant. This is not reality. Reality is this: if being around minorities etc. is an unpleasant experience for you, you are the problem.

Explain what his point is using your own words and explain how my understanding of his point is incorrect

He’s saying that liberals secretly can’t stand spending time with minorities because they are bigots

Thank you for using your words. I think both interpretations are equally likely.

The post stemmed from a discussion about homeless people and libraries and some guy was like he doesn’t care if they’re at the library or sleeping at the entrance. And I said it’s not safe because many of them have mental issues. And they was like no homeless people are perfectly safe. And he’s fighting me about it when he wouldn’t spend 1 minute with one and would walk the other way if he saw them on the street or lock his doors if they walked up to him at the light
