Here’s the after, there’s obviously more gold, and more portraits, to give it a “grander” sense so when foreign leaders come to visit they get a sense of the office

I agree that the President shouldn’t be felt like royalty, but I do think the office should have some glamour, I don’t know if gold would be my style, but it’s certainly a choice that makes the room seem like Versailles or Buckingham palace (If I remember correctly thats kind of what he was going for)
