 Its not about excusing or protecting the feelings of ex-MAGA, its about deprogramming legit cult members by showing them they were manipulated, and that there is a world outside beyond the cult thats waiting for them. MAGA is a cult, behave accordingly.

Imagine someone, a low level member of Heaven’s Gate or something expressing doubt about the cult. You have to firmly and honestly, but understandingly explain how they were manipulated. Imagine saying “I don’t feel any sympathy for you, go die with your cult leader” to someone in any other cult besides MAGA. Take your pick, Heavens Gate, Scientology, etc. It sounds crazy when its any other cult, because it is crazy.
