You don’t really have a choice…you have to at least make the minimum payment. Or the government can come after your assets and whatnot.

minimum payments because i’m not living less of a live by putting an even larger financial burden on myself by paying more each month for them. they go away when you die anyways. biden is just the first president to try to forgive student loans and i have hope that he won’t be the last president in my entire life that will attempt to do that

You really should at least pay the minimum payment, it can really fuck you up long term if you don’t. But if you are good with money (most people aren’t, so I’d recommend fully paying off the loan) it’s better to invest the money you would’ve paid to pay down the principal because it’ll grow faster than your interest on your loans will.
