I mean, I have the physical books, I just drive a lot for my job and can’t read a book behind the wheel, so I use the audiobook when I’m driving, and read the physical copy when I’m at home. The amateur YouTube audiobook is uploaded as a video per chapter, so it’s really easy to switch between the two and not lose my place.

That’s also why I don’t feel like I’m robbing the author by listening to the free audiobook when reading the physical copy isn’t an option. I own the physical books, George got his money, the publisher got their money, I just ain’t buying the shit twice.

Also a word to the wise on purchasing the physical versions of A Song of Ice and Fire: Do not buy the small paperback copies of these books. The small copies are poorly bound, and fall apart basically immediately. Had to return the first one I bought because it was the small one and the first like 50 pages fell out as soon as I opened it. The local bookstore only had the little ones, so I unfortunately ended up having to go to damn Barnes & Noble for a proper full-sized copy.
