Y'all aren't as concerned about the president and vice president being balls deep into Palantir as y'all should be.If you’re concerned about Palantir, which is fine, then you should honestly not be on the internet at all. The surveillance state is already here and you can buy that data from several private organizations. Palantir is mainly focused on providing actionable intelligence services. You can already get that data though from organizations like Facebook. Privacy ceased decades ago.
He's significantly more dangerous than Kamala or Biden would've been. Kamala is incompetent but at least she's not the henchman of a literal Big Brother wannabe. Like if Trump dies or gets impeached it's NOT gonna be good. We're one fat, unhealthy 80 year old from a surveillance state and that worries me.
Palantir takes it further though by solving the issue of man power. I do plan on going off the grid after college as I can't really use what is required without using the internet. But with Palantir it has 24/7 AI moderation in a searchable database. Right now they have all the data but it's overwhelming and disorganized, Palantir would make it to where virtually anything from any point in time can be watched, searched, and moderated. It's not the surveillance, but the efficiency that I fear.
It’s actually better because Palantir tracks the analysts using it. Without unifying data like that, individual analysts pull from seperated databases and there’s less oversight. When it’s unified you can be more targeted in your searches and analysts are more accountable in their actions. The IC has robust protections for individual liberties, especially since the fallout of the Snowden leaks. Most IC analysts can’t even touch USPERs data without committing a felony.
There have been instances of analysts tracking USPERs that they knew, say an ex for example. That is illegal under federal statute. When databases are separate and less complex it is easier for individual analysts to violate the civil liberties of USPERs. Palantir software tracks all those actions and helps with link analysis easing false collection of USPERs.
