I HATE how Christians try to victimize themselves. Especially the ones that spew intolerance and then say “oh it’s my belief”. That’s bullshit that’s not your belief that’s the belief that some ignorant asshole spewed on a pulpit&u just ate it up

their religion was born out of being the victim. like when the romans stopped persecuting them they resorted to starving themselves. was a genuine crisis for early christians

Starving themselves to play the victim? I’m alluding to conservatives who claim to be Christian but preach intolerance and bigotry

Your terms are subjective.

The only subjective thing here is how bigots and conservatives “interpret” their religion as a license to hate and claw back human rights.

There is no such thing as human rights, only what is commonly permissed in global rules of law who suggest that they are the ethical authority. What are you thinking about when you say “hate”? Physical harm or holding a belief?

All of the above. And for the record human rights have existed for as long as civilization has existed. They parts of our laws, social norms, etc

Social norms change, and different groups have different laws. Human rights are not a constant, just a comfortable construction to linguistically give oneself the illusion of a moral high. Not to say that they haven’t been actionable, but they are inevitably determined by whoever or whatever is in authority. Which means that they can be “right” on occasion, but aren’t necessarily tied to it.

But that’s not why we’re here. What do you mean when you say “hate”?

Didn’t you just say human rights don’t exist? Also was not the point of my original comment. And there are universal human rights commissions as well

All the same, my saying they don’t exist is simply a transition to frame what they really are in the context of a changing world. But yeah let’s stay on track here
