I that’s a bit silly. But yes I understand the idea, where people can love America as a nation and dislike the current government, and even dislike the entire system of government. The constitution was amended many times because it’s not a perfect document, much less how the Supreme Court and others have interpreted it

OP here, what the person is arguing is that we should completely reverse the ideals of our nation and institute authoritarianism. You can change the system of government to still be within the founding ideals without instituting a direct opposite of a freedom-enabling system of government
