We existed. They aren’t gonna give a reasonable answer cause it’s going to be some racist propaganda their peepaw told them. They also usually never met a black or brown person in their life and only saw us on Twitter or heard us referred to as racial slurs on platforms like YY, 4-Chan, Discord, and Twitter

From the perspective of a civilization 6 player Most of Europe was playing as war based civilizations, didn’t take the time to care about culture Now that it’s getting to end game and war is falling out of favor they must steal from other cultures and present it as their own if they don’t want their empire to lose loyalty

goes back to imperialism and colonialism, the ruling class knows that a divided class is easier to control so they spread lies and fearmonger. it’s unfortunately persisted into modern day because we haven’t done anything to actually wipe that ideology and mindset off the face of the earth

Existed in a resource abundant area They always had a problem with poor whites, but they didn’t start calling us hill billies until they couldn’t push the local poor whites, freed slaves, and indigenous out of Appalachia after they used up all their plantation land and needed more

It’s also very much normalized in “dark and edgy humor.” I don’t mind a dark or edgy joke every now and again but just saying slurs or blatantly racist things isn’t humor, it’s just normalized racism.

100% because they were never taught that history properly. They’ve got a watered down or whitewashed version of the story. I go to a PWI and ik WAY too many white ppl who think all natives just killed white ppl for no reason or that slavery was just picking cotton in fields. That’s part of the reason why the confederacy hasn’t died and honestly spread. If you ask a person with a confederate flag who fought for slavery they’ll say “the democrats” and that “they were evil for wanting slavery”-

But when you ask “so why do u fly the evil democrat flag” they’ll say it’s their heritage or that it’s southern pride. Because of a lack of education and a watered down version of the story, ppl genuinely fly a racist traitors flag and claim to be a patriot

Exactly. Too many of them think there’s just thousands of trans women competing and that they’re beating women in these sports. One article said a trans woman beat over 200 women as if she placed top 3 when in reality she didn’t even qualify for the top 3 lmao

That’s what I’ve been hearing from potato mcwhiskey and I trust his opinion That’s pretty much where I’d sit at ideally, though I’m kinda surprised they haven’t updated it already it’s been like 8 months

Eh it’ll probably be a while longer, Rise and fall didn’t come out until 2 years after initial release, and Gathering Storm was a year after that
