Not even gonna go the slavery route. Lets talk about after slavery. Segregation, Jim Crowe, Police Brutality including: Rodney King, Emmett Till, George Floyd, then we got systematic racism, Groups creates with sole purpose of killing and beating poc.
It is OBJECTIVELY untrue to claim that black people are the most oppressed in American history.

jesus h christ it’s not the goddamn pain olympics people. there are different forms of oppression applied in different ways to a whole slew of minority groups. splitting hairs like this only works to fracture alliances and ignore intersectionality. several groups could go blow for blow with the injustices that have been waged against them throughout their history and continue to this day. playing the who has it worse game only serves the people that keep us down

It is to this day still legal to rape native Americans. Can you find anywhere in the country where that is true of black people? Also what about things like church rock, the worst nuclear disaster in American history that you probably haven’t even heard about because all the victims were Navajo so nobody ever felt like reporting on it.

You can. Tribal courts are not allowed to try non tribe members. This is why per capita Native American women face the highest amounts of sexual abuse.

You still haven’t made a single counter argument. You are simply just trying to discredit my argument PURELY OFF OF THE WAY I SPEAK. That was the ENTIRE POINT of my initial post. You’ve proven me right MORE THAN I COULD EVER IMAGINE.

Okay, I’ll stop acting over the top and typing in all caps like a Trump truth social post, that doesn’t change the fact that I wholeheartedly believed in everything I’ve said and you haven’t made a single genuine argument.

Ok lets put it like this. Some one takes your land and puts you on a spot that you werent originally placed. Displacing you. Ok sure yeah horrible but yet you are free. Now imagine someone takes you on a boat to a new land and forces you to work hours on end till you die or you try and go on strike and you die. Im not discrediting anything but saying rape is worse than being killed as a slave isnt that same.

The Jewish population will recover from the Holocaust in about 10-20 years estimated. The Native American population is about that far from recovering from pre-Columbian America. The natives weren’t just displaced, they were genocided so badly that it took 6 times longer for their population to recover than the victims of the Holocaust.

Yes its a tragic epidemic that you can rape Natives yet that happened en mass to black women. Statics only show a small amount at a time. Statistically you were way worse being born black or brown compared to any other race.

And again, the natives aren’t free. They still have to follow federal law and again they aren’t allowed to try outsiders on their land. They just have to deal with outside criminals coming in because legally their hands are tied.

They were displaced. Yes they were killed but ultimately they got put on to reservations. you cannot refute that. Most died from illness than from battle. You cant forget in the beginning before colonizers worked with natives before they got the whole manifest destiny idea.

Saying theyre not free when they have to follow the same laws you do is a wild argument. and im not arguing that its fucked they cant try outsiders its wrong but thats once again not oppression to the degree black people had

That’s the thing though, an enslaved individual could always rebel enough to the point that they would be killed. They had a choice between the two. Obviously, it is a choice between two horrible options, but it is a choice. The natives didn’t have that. They were just killed with no thought put behind it.

When was the last time you heard someone like Jasmine Crockett, Barack Obama, or Kamala Harris talk about Native American issues? They will talk about problems black America faces. They will talk about problems poor Americans face. They will talk about problems women in America face. But even the most radical intersectionalist you know has ignored the native Americans. That is why it has to be called out.

There were slaves that were bought to fight to the death. There were slaves bought for sexual pleasure. There were slaves bought for house work, field work, or just to be made an example of. Torture is worse than death. Also being killed bc youre black was and sometimes still a thing. The buffalo shooting for example. Youre talking more about past. Blacks have been oppressed more in this country practically its existence.

Because theyre not oppressed like black people are what. Yes they have some but not to the extent that cops would kill you for no reason and it has happened. What group can you name is soley based on keeping nattive americans in submission.

I started this argument by trying to talk about the present and you are the one who brought up the past. When I brought up rates of SA against native Americans you said you were going to make a counter argument and then brought up the past.

erasure is one of many forms of oppression, most people in the US are taught that most Indigenous people only exist in the past and that’s internalized. that said there’s an entire decolonization movement and people who *are* working to bring issues like this to light

Affirmative action helps all minorities. You can’t paint it as if it is only something targeted at black Americans when they aren’t even the biggest beneficiary of it (white women are).

In the hierarchy white women are higher than black women. Intersectionality. Yes white women have benefited the most but they have also not experienced the racial side of the spectrum.

Per capita, native Americans are the most victimized group from violent crimes. You can point towards cases like George Floyd, a travesty, but you can’t point to similar cases of native Americans because the media coverage isn’t there.

And just a few months ago the Trump administration took over $300,000,000,000.00 dollars that was set to go to native Americans to fund basic necessities like housing or child care.
