idk i find i get more with worse weed. A kief trick i use is freeze the nugs for 15 mins and grind it up and shake with a quarter inside the grinder. You get about what OP had if not more from 1-2 grams. Only downside is bud is super dry

in my experience, stickier, greener, and sparkly bud is what drops a lot of kief. you can literally see the kief on the outside of the bud when it’s good. but yes the freezer trick works well if you want more kief. i usually get a full layer of kief from a quarter oz of decent weed.
