Wasn’t working so I blew into the other end (which works btw) and when I attempted to inhale again, it made a popping noise and blew out the oil into my mouth

That's normal with disposables left on their side or in a pocket for too long. Try cleaning the mouthpiece with a few clean toothpicks and keeping it upright while warm for a bit before trying again.
