Coming from someone who scars really easily: be warned smoking before the scar closes (roughly 6 weeks after stitches) constricts the blood vessels and leads to uneven, tough, and painful scars. I deal with them on my knees I don’t want you to have that pain in your hands (literally)

But edibles are harmless! They are great with pain too fr. I recommend 2 weeks nothing after surgery/stitches but it’s not required at all
