as someone who barely gets high anymore even with consistent t breaks, it is definitely a case by case thing and can be very hard to draw a clean line in the sand on what’s ok and what’s not

it’s just as bad as drunk driving, if yall are saying you „barely feel it“ that’s the same as someone who’s been drinking saying they’re not even drunk. no matter if you feel it or not your reaction time is slowed, you’re less likely to be able to make good decisions, you’re more inattentive, it’s just a bad state of mind to be operating a piece of metal that can fly at 100 miles an hour

High drivers only go slow as hell if they’re too high, drunk drivers on the other hand are a completely different story

there is a legal amount of drunk you can be and still drive so it’s gotta be the same with weed or it’s just a double standard

I think ya drag a lot of stuff lol. If it doesn’t work for you it doesn’t🤷🏾‍♀️. It feels fine for others and some people just can’t handle smoking and driving. Drinking is different because people really can’t handle alcohol at all. And it’s not even abt handling it it’s just abt the effects.

your reaction time is a lot slower when youre high so high drivers do get into accidents but its usually more like rear ending than drunk driving accidents

right like i see both points here yes it’s not as debilitating as alcohol but your movements on the road are generally more unpredictable which inevitably leads to crashes

yes thats exactly what i meant in the post by “irresponsible”! its true that people who drink and drive get into more serious/dangerous accidents but imo saying high drivers “just drive slow” is disingenuous

this is why i feel so complicated about it! some people smoke and don’t even feel high and just smoke for things like anxiety/chronic pain but its hard for me to reconcile with that when high driving can also be so dangerous for some

Shit maybe yall just can’t handle the weed

i’m a stoner who smokes every day lol. i have had to drive while high in emergencies and been completely safe and fine. but it did give me a new perspective on driving while high because its not something i morally support as i think its dangerous bc i know people who have died in accidents

i don’t like that i said morally support ^^ i have friends who drive high bc they are just always high. i just mean for me i think its unsafe

yeah like just because i think im fine to drive a little high doesn’t mean every one else is consenting to being on the road with someone under the influence so its just inconsiderate and i’d rather be safe than sorry so thats usually the deciding factor in why i lean towards that side of the argument because its not just about me its about everyone else on the road too

Smoking and driving is absolutely amazing it’s only irresponsible if you don’t smoke often or if your bad at driving

I think it’s more of a personal preference

calling it “absolutely amazing” tells me one of us is delusional and its not me. you’re operating a vehicle while under the influence of a drug. all i’m asking for is a mature conversation about the pros/cons

If you don’t smoke much or can’t handle your za then I fully disagree with it but if you frequently partake it can be a very enjoyable experience

i’m not saying it can’t be fun, but i don’t think just because you are having a good time doesn’t mean you’re not irresponsible

i def agree with u here, like i said a lot of people are functional stoners and altho i think that’s still complicated , in general i trust those drivers(a lot of my friends are)

They take blood tests if they believe you were driving high but obviously it’s not convenient
