I don’t know if this is the right place to post this, but I am 3 weeks sober from smoking!!! I’d like to get back to it someday but when I am more self responsible and can use it how it’s intended!! 🙂

What made you feel like you weren’t using it right?

I was repetitive and I’d smoke most of the day, been doing it since 9th and I’m 22 now. It didn’t even really get me high anymore it would trigger panic attacks and id kinda blur a bit, lightheadedness, I always was scared i was gonna have a heart attack. I figured i give it maybe a year, year and a half maybe, get my life figured out then id try it again. I’d always smoke alone too and i felt like id go crazy sometimes if that makes any sense, probably some sort of chemical imbalance

no no that completely makes sense. I definitely think that’s become a little more common for me as I’ve smoked too. Weed is tricky because it affects everyone differently and the way it affects you can change over time. The reason I ask is because I’m currently knee deep in an addiction with it and smoke every day whenever I can and wanted to know what you considered irresponsible

I’m glad you asked, I never knew if I was alone in the way I felt and it affected me, it makes me happy to know someone else understands. Weed isn’t a bad thing but I think it’s our human instinct that we go a little overboard sometimes. If you think your ready to take a break from it I say hell yeah, but it’s really hard too so only do it when your ready, there’s no shame in time :) Ik I stopped when I realized I was scraping keef with knife when I ran out my stash to get a quick 30 min high

Yeah I mean I LOVE weed but too much of anything is a bad thing. I don’t know if I want to take a break or not though. It’s hard because it’s such a social activity to me and an excuse to hang out in silly places with my friends but I do smoke literally every day. I’m worried about experiencing withdrawals, I think not smoking will be pretty tough. Do you have any tips for stepping away from it?

My best tip would be to distract your mind from it, first few days are gonna suuuuuuccckk, but that’s just our body recognizing everything going on. I never was good at it but if your good with patterns I’d try smoking at certain times as a reward or even smoking only with friends, it might help your body recognize and start getting ready for something like this so when you decide your ready, the toll of withdrawal might be smaller and be more manageable than cold turkey. Also candy helped a ton

I quit cold turkey once I ran out, I also like to always have mints and strong ones too and I’d pop one in whenever I felt like I gotta smoke, I used to smoke cigarettes too before I quit weed and I been using a lot of those methods for it too. I’ve never tried it but I bet there are cbd oils too that might help but I don’t know if that would be contradicting to the thc because how closely they are related
