The legal age of consent in japan is 13. While in most prefectures they set it higher, and most people agree it’s morally reprehensible to date a 13 y/o as an adult, the age still draws in plenty of pedophiles to the country and emboldens the ones already there. So, yeah, there’s a bit of a culture of pedophilia there. Especially in the arts, though we’re no better in that respect. Shows that sexualize teenagers, check for US and japan.
