We don’t, but weed has many interesting correlations to cognitive function. The stereotype is that weed makes you “dumber” which is untrue. It just activates/slows down different parts of the brain for a different outlook on the world. Usually most stoners have some kind of trauma or unexplored mental illness and the thc helps regulate their actions and thought processes to make it less overwhelming. That’s why they can seem obsessed. No one really becomes a stoner if they were raised well
It definitely can if you let it. I’ve been there before. Eventually I realized that weed isn’t gonna cure me of all my problems. In fact, over smoking just buries them under some pleasant looking dirt and allows them to grow bigger. If you decide to smoke weed often, you either have to stay present and not use weed as a means to get super high, but as a medication. Or, you accept the negative consequences. Weed cravings and withdrawals are not “dangerous” but they are a very very real thing.
