I got harassed at my last job as the only woman and complained to hr and then my boss fired me with severance which I had to sign off on taking because I’m broke. I’m in a male dominated field and every job I’m interviewing with ends up being only men and

There are lawyers that work pro bono…if this really happened and you have witnesses that are willing to back you up then you can either win a settlement out of court or go all the way to trial but stuff like this can take years so your choice

I got harassed all the time and my bosses didn’t seem to give a damn about it and quite frankly it’s irritating because I show up do my stuff then leave but get nasty messages from my co workers as well as rumors starting behind my back to the point I had to file a restraining order against two of them and defamation lawsuits

I can’t do it again. Having my looks commented on, discussions about pregnancy when im not planning on having kids anytime soon, my shirt being looked down, being told i should dress nicer because I started wearing sweaters provided to my male colleagues as work appropriate so my body couldnt be stared at

I don’t want to be treated different and weird and uncomfortable and I think it’s inevitable

I wasnt even allowed to refuse hugs without some type of consequence. I know this isnt as bad as some women have it but Im not as strong as those women. I cried every night working that job

If she accepted the settlement it probably came with a non litigation agreement.

I am filing an eeoc complaint. I can’t personally sue because of what I signed. The worst part of it is that I’m too uncomfortable to return to my industry if I can’t find a job with at least one woman
