My yearly review is on Wednesday. Time for my yearly game of do I stay with the company or do I look somewhere else :)

My suggestion is to start applying for other jobs and stop going above and beyond for them. I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. I’ve been there before. You will get a way better unexpected opportunity soon!

yeah you gotta stop going above and beyond 😭 and like #1 said youll get a way better opportunity somewhere else! thats why its recommended to change jobs every few years or so too

Sounds like you should be passed over. Why’s it take you so long to do a job that everyone else seems to do quicker than you?

Yeah I’m trying to it’s just that the job market is kinda hard cause I live in a high cost of living area and not a lot of places are providing a salary that will allow me to actually live

Yeah ik it’s so annoying too cause recently I’ve been thrown on 3 large projects all due within a month with no team on them. Everyone else has deadlines a few months out with a team of 2-3 (sometimes 4-5) and I’ve been saying I need help and no one does and when I bring up issues to my managers they just shrug it off
