When I tell ppl about how I was treated at the Chickfila that fire me (I’m 19) they think I’m lying for attention but I’m not. Hr wanted me to put my job before my college classes and skip class to drive 3 hours back home to work, was told I didn’t

Deserve to have a job because of my adhd, and whenever the hr director passed me walking around she would shove me as hard as she could into the counter. I almost bashed my head very hard into a soda machine at one point. They bought me the wrong pants so I was forced to use men’s that were so long it could have been a safety concern cause I couldn’t stop tripping on them when they fell down after I rolled them up. All the “mistakes” that cause me to get fired was dropping drinks when hr pushed

Jeeez. The CFA I currently work at thankfully isn’t anything like that. But if you went thru all that, I really do feel bad for you. :(

The cfa I worked at was awful. They made me work 2-10 everyday after my classes that were from 8-1 and 2-11 on the weekends. My grades dropped tremendously and I blame them because they never let me have time off to work on my school. I decided to make the switch of working 5:30 am until I had to leave for my classes. My time there was miserable I was definitely at my lowest.

My old cfa job did that to my coworker, was praised cause he quit his school passions

Me, or I was blamed when another worker left something out or didn’t make a customers order before leaving the station when I arrived. One of the “mistakes” was almost spilling a jug of tea cause someone spilled French fries all over the floor and left them there for hours before picking them up

And then hr lied to me telling me since I was fired my paycheck will be mailed to me instead of collecting it in person and then wouldn’t respond to any of my messages about it.

The worst part isn’t what I dealt with there, it’s the fact that no one believes me cause the HR director is supposed to be the one preventing things like that not be the cause. I just hope no one else has had the same experience I did.

Yea I get that. My HR guy is actually probably the worst pick to be the HR person, but he’s a lovable guy and wouldn’t let anybody get away with that kinda toxic bs, much less be a part of it. Did you go over their head to your operator?

No I should’ve, I didn’t know who to go to. Everyone there always said “if you have a problem go to the hr director”. I would’ve asked my parents for help but they didn’t believe my story, they just thought I made it up cause I was upset I was fired for being lazy and doing a bad job intentionally to get myself fired so I can spend more time playing videogames just cause I play them sometimes with friends.

I didn’t finish training before being let go and idk if all cfas are like this, they had a rule where high schoolers and college students during the school year are required to work the closing shift at least 3 times a weeks with no exceptions. They also wanted college students to work opening shifts frequently during weekdays

Why do so many jobs now want you to put your job before your education. A guy’s boss literally started spamming him with classes and texts threatening to fire him if he didn’t respond to disrupt class cause he wanted him to drop his courses to have more time to work demanding that he leave class early and come to work when it wasn’t even busy. My friend said he had enough employees and didn’t need him during class hours and he only worked weekends anyway. Got to the point the professor asked for

His phone and yelled at his boss. My friend quit the job a few hours later.

That’s insane, sometimes management shouldn’t be management
