My manager makes me feel 2in tall whenever we speak. I’m always doing something wrong and she waits until the last minute to tell me what I’m doing is wrong instead of telling me right then and there. She isn’t constructive about it either.

I nearly walked out my job when my old manager kept micromanaging me every time we worked together. It got better over time, but I also had stopped always apologizing when she did it. Basically started grey rocking her. I recommend this, but try not to come off as rude. She’ll keep doing this power play but if you give her less of a reaction, she’ll do it less and less

Also, let me give a disclaimer that I’m not a confrontational person. She made me feel like a massive fuck up, but the more she did it, the angrier I got and the less I reacted. Basically, stop going out of your way to satisfy your manager. She will always find fault in what you do and will use her superiority to scare you into trying harder to please her (which you never will cause it’s her, not you)
