I hate my fucking job. I should not be having an anxiety attack over the possibility of being sick because they might literally fire me for it. Their policy states that even with a doctor’s note, the absence isn’t excused unless I have enough sick time

It’s retail in a grocery chain, it’s a Nation wide policy for the chain, the problem is they’re working through loopholes in the system and thus are getting away with this bs

Very true, but I’m pretty sure this store (and even this whole chain I work for) is on the brink of unionizing, because they treat workers like utter shit

I have looked into the laws 😭 I’ve tried fighting this before and so have many of my co-workers, they work with loopholes in the law to take advantage of workers
