I applied to be a Shift Lead( I work at Dutch Bros) at a different stand and one of my coworkers found out who already is one and applied. Pretty sure they picked him over me and honestly don’t know how to feel because I’m frustrated but I need advice

Not retaliation, I just need advice if I should try and bring it up or if I should just still try to find a different spot to apply

Oh yeah follow up? Don’t bring it up like, “why did you hire them and not me.” Follow up like, “hey wanted to follow up on the lead position. I would be perfect for the position because …..”

And then that way if they do mention who they hired then it would open up the conversation further. Then at that point you can point out that they are already a lead and that you would love the opportunity for a lead position because it would look good for blah blah blah
