Has FIFA given a reason as to why they’re lifting the Balogun suspension? I know the US FA was saying VAR was incorrectly used but I can’t find a statement from FIFA saying anything suggesting that’s why they did it. I’m excited but it’s a bit shady lol

Same reason Ronaldo’s suspension he picked up before the tournament. “This could potentially cost us money and we don’t like that.” I’m not trying to pretend it ain’t shady. I’m just taking the win and happy he’s playing because it’s technically correct since he never should have been sent off.

Yeah I mean I’m happy about it because he obviously gives us a better chance, but usually even corrupt organizations will try to cover up their intentions with some phony justification. I just find it a bit amusing they’re not even trying to hide what’s going on lmao
