I don't think you have good reading comprehension. Balogun's parents are nigerian. They were living in london when he was born. His mother was visiting the U.S. and just so happened to give birth to him on U.S. soil. Since he was born in the U.S.A, he was granted citizenship because of the 14th amendment.

He got a red card and Trump asked Infantino to review it which is ironic because the player who trump is defending wouldn’t be a citizen of the U.S. under Trump’s ideal laws regardless of FIFA eligibility rules.

He claims he did, and while his claims aren’t a great source of fact it doesn’t particularly matter in this case since him claiming it has the same effect whether true or not.
