Rightfully so as an American. We politically pressured fifa. Poch needs to man up and leave Balogun at the hotel. It’s not worth playing a contested game full of distractions and zero belief in integrity.

There have been hundreds of BS red cards given in the history of FIFA not a single one came without a one game suspension. Two wrongs don’t make a right. What’s soft is acknowledging that the U.S. had no recourse so Diddy pedo president Trump called his pedophile buddy infantino and got this reversed

They didn’t do the right thing. A red card on field bad or not is a red card. There again have been hundreds of bad red cards this is the first to be overturned. Are you Ok with the idea that every red card should be looked into now? Every red card should be appealed? The precedent is unheard of and unsustainable. England is now considering protesting their player’s red yesterday. He got the ball is he right to go to the government and have it fixed? irrelevant to the call it’s procedural issues

Ok. So right now England’s player should be eligible for the quarter finals?

Yes it is. They cite the Ronaldo situation but he served a game. He’s the first player to ever and serving a suspension for a red card. Many players have served a game and had a larger sentence knocked down to one or two games. Many have been suspended served an international game suspension by missing qualifying and friendly then played in the WC. NOT A ONE has avoided missing any time at all.

Yes and every other instance of this was a game served. It was a multi game ban where the 2nd, 3rd, and so on games in a suspension. Often because the international play WC qualifiers and Friendlies ended. So the next possible game to serve was literally a year out. Very different circumstances. It’s such a bad precedent and legit has no relation to the Ronaldo situation

Every other player served a game then was told the rest is suspended it’s legit the most different it can be. He didn’t miss any time every other player DID

Again mostly done as a procedural thing because international reds don’t carry over to league play, fifa grants that exemption so that a foul in an international tournament doesn’t bar a player from playing in the prem or Bundesliga or any other league. this is a complete misuse of the rulebook

BECAUSE THERE WERE NO INTERNATIONAL GAMES TO SERVE. He then served it leading up to the WC

Yes he should have been suspended and the rule should never have been invoked. Again two wrongs don’t make a right. These are both disastrous decisions.

No it’s never happened because these situations are not the same. They aren’t close to the same FIFA is using an irrelevant Ronaldo situation to justify this one. That’s my point. This is singular and stands alone.

He served a game of his three game suspension. He didn’t appeal until after his first game served. Literally different in every way

Wrongly in both dissimilar instances. Red card one game should be non negotiable even if wrong.

But the issue wasn’t that it was not a red card offense. It’s that A) the ref on field was blowing dick and missed it and B) the VAR official only showed slow motion. The most wrong thing that happened was the official missing the original call.
