It was not a clear foul. Look at Estevan’s goal against Barca, also steps on his foot and goal stands. This is the level of intellect we have to deal with

Now watch the clip in real speed. First off it’s hard to tell if there’s even any contact bc of how fast it is, second if there was any that’s the lightest contact I’ve ever seen. Cubarsi doesn’t even call for a foul after he scores. Clutching at straws here

So you ask for proof, which I show, then you say I’m clutching at straws. Only reason this Spain goal was called off was because it’s Argentina. There is very clearly contact and it puts cubarsi off balance. Don’t ask for proof then discredit it because it proves you wrong.

Because you are clutching and the proof isn’t good enough. That’s not a stamp and is the lightest of contacts of any. Why didn’t Cubarsi call for a foul? Even if I concede and say that this is a foul committed by Estevao, the refereeing error would be in the Barca v Chelsea game instead of Spain v Argentina.

It’s not the same though. Estevao is legit floating while dribbling and IF he steps on Cubarsi’s toes it’s the lightest of contact. Merino is turning and all of his weight ends up going onto that foot that’s on top of Otamendi.
