I don’t get it. If it doesn’t pass muster for you (cringy), why present it to others. People do this all the time.

try to ask yourself why it’s “cringe” and make it mirror poems you enjoy!

it may reach an audience where it doesn’t seem cringey which ultimately makes the OP feel better about the poem and reevaluate. everyone has their process

Well it’s more like I don’t hate it but I also feel like it’s a bit cringey wanted feedback and other opinions if anything

I have respect for poets who trouble over every word, phrase, etc. Like, do the work and then some and know where you stand when you talk to an editor (or anyone). . Just sayin’.
