So the idea is that when the bubonic plague hit Europe, people literally thought it was the prophesied end times in the Bible So middle school me was like “what if it actually was?” Basically, France 1350, 90% of the world’s population is gone, the sun is blackened and the moon shines blood red, hellspawn run amok, and the only hope is some prophecy the pope made about a child of faith sacrificing herself

So you have this disgraced knight (who wasn’t even a good guy before the apocalypse happened) escorting a young girl of faith to do this Yknow, they grow to have a Father daughter dynamic, fight demons, meet friends, the whole shibang So the final plot twist is that the entire prophecy was made up by the forces of hell to trick the virtuous to go to a place to be killed, and it ends with our knight character fighting them off so she can run away and live Middle school me was cooking
