Every character is probably in your voice. That’s pretty normal for a first draft. How the hell would you know what people sound like until you figure out who they are?

honestly, it might sound weird. A lot of people in our generation kind of suck at writing. Some advice: 1. Read. read a lot. find favorite authors and study how they write. 2. read your own work aloud as you edit. sometimes things look right, but sound wrong. 3. try varying length and kinds of sentences.

Most of the time we think our writing is worse than it is. Find someone to discuss your dialogue with. See what they think is going right and what can be improved.

Yeah. I often feel that my characters sound flat, but it’s because I’m being overly critical of my work. If this is the first draft, then don’t delete it unless you’re rewording it. If this is one of several others, try getting someone to proofread it (not just focusing on dialogue, but the whole thing). Hope this helps!

I recommend you add some books without pictures to your vast library because you have the language competency of a small child.

How about readers? I find that people who read a lot typically have good feedback, however, their wording ma be “wrong” to how it should be interpreted. But, for this, you could also hire someone via freelance work, if you have the means.
