fr tho I just used my first three chapters and prologue to get familiar with the characters and cemented in the world, and I make references to things that happened there without actually including it in my story

Yeah, if you aren’t basically rewriting the entire first act after you’re “finished” with the manuscript, you probably have a crappy product.

It’s not rage bait. If you think you’re “finished” with the beginning before you’ve “finished” a full draft, you’re dumb as hell.
