i honestly think it's less social media and more location based. the USA is predominantly white, that's is reflective in our media but in other countries that are predominantly black or asian, or latinx the beauty standard and their media is different. like i doubt a dude from Jamaica top preference is a blonde women

That can be true too but I think people are too heavily involved in social media their views sway a lot based on what they see. If they constantly see “all guys prefer blonde girl “ videos or whatever and continuously interact with those then it’s gonna be pushed more in their algorithm.

Because too there’s plenty of black people, Hispanic people, Asian people, etc in the US too that there’s content like “black guys only prefer xyz” but some people may not interact with that stuff so they might not see it as much. The US is fairly diverse so I think it’s hard to say it’s fully location based
