as a queer woman in a relationship with a straight man, i feel like he doesn't respect my queerness. mainly bc he likes kinda refuses to acknowledge it.

but he doesn't want to label himself as not straight since he doesn't think he would date anyone else who isn't cisgender aside from me. He also apologized about the pride parade thing and admitted that was selfish of him. He agreed to make it up to me and to just be with him while he figures things out :)

I’m a queer woman and had men who wanted to date me not see me as such. The best way I’ve described it to someone is: You can date two different type of people. One might be an introvert and another may be an extrovert. Dating one person doesn’t take way the eventual attraction you had with the other person you dated. This all to say, I hope he does come to an understanding. Sexuality is complicated and fluid, but don’t let him undermine yours.
