Guys please help me too.
How should I stop overthinking? What should I do to limit the amount of time I sit thinking about hypotheticals and shit that isn’t even real?? Please help. I’m struggling.

Start doing some underthinking to balance it out, so pretty much any hobby where you can turn your brain off and let it rest. Many folks find that in the gym by being too tired between sets to think at all, some find it in gaming or sports where stuff is constantly happening to hold their attentions, there are a lot of options.

The simplified reason of why you overthink is basically pattern recognition. You’re so used to overthinking that’s what your brain basically defaults to. You just have to rewire the way you think. If you start to have a thought of overthinking divert it to something else or telling yourself you have no evidence of it being true and focus on things you do know

Occupy your mental space with something positive when you would otherwise be thinking. Get in the habit of writing down instances of yourself overthinking to later find out that everything was okay to give you perspective on how justified your overthinking is.

How I stopped was really just kept telling myself that what I’m thinking isn’t real and it’s something being made up. And just redirecting my thoughts to more meaningful things
