Do you agree or disagree with this statement. Most college aged men want relationships (fact) but most of these men don’t ask out women and often end up being single while men who want hookups will constantly ask out women giving this false perception

I could be wrong, and not trying to generalize all men or women but why does it seem that guys typically look for hookups and would prefer a hookup over a relationship, whereas girls would prefer a relationship and not casual hookup

From my own personal standpoint I would agree. I want a relationship but don’t approach women or make approaches to make that possible. I keep to myself and ultimately don’t get myself out there enough

Or she's using her personal experiences to come to an conclusion? i'm not denying she's being biased but how can she help it? plus why is it a bad thing? i mean like by this logic if you have tasted strawberries and disliked them everytime them based on ur personal experiences strawberries aren't tasty. for you that's a fact based on your experience but for me i love strawberries and think they are delicious. both are inherently biased but i wouldn't say that's a bad thing.

The analogy you used isn’t valid bc someone thinking that strawberries aren’t tasty is subjective. It’s a known fact that most people, man or woman, strive for a healthy and lasting relationship. OP got led on by too many assholes which isn’t her fault but determining what most men do and don’t prefer based off of that isn’t valid

It's not a known fact? Not everyone wants to be in a relationship. Some people are content with being single or hooking up or are asexual/aromantic. Sure the flavor of strawberries is subjective but I don't think it's fair to say she shouldn't use her personal experiences to form an opinion. Even if it is an unfair one.

It is bad in an academic or professional setting but that's not what yik yak is now is it? It's a place to share your opinions, and you can't fault someone whose had bad experiences to have a unfair opinion.

Why would u want to be biased tho by def it means u have a flawed understanding of how the world works. I feel for her if she is biased but don’t try to justify it and act like it’s not a detrimental thing

U litterally r justifying it tho by saying it’s not a bad thing. Idrc that she’s being biased and whatnot, it’s her life not mine, I just don’t think we should be pretending like it’s a reasonable justification for things
