is it weird to ask for a girls number without a convo at the library (as a guy)? i have one friend telling me it's ok and another telling me it's weird

I wouldn’t worry about making the friend feel bad about herself, real friends would be excited for each other! I definitely get how it’s scary to ask in front of a friend tho.. 🤔
