
There are statistics stating that CPR is in fact less likely to be performed on women and even less likely to be performed correctly. There’s an inherent bias against women in CPR because most dummies that people trained on CPR use are male, making bystanders more likely to feel unprepared to help a woman
Again statistically the likelihood of a man to be accused of sexual assault over performing CPR is extremely low. In fact studies show that men are more likely to be the bystanders in this situation regardless but its not for the reasons of not knowing when or how to do CPR. I honestly never suggest regular people without some training or certification to perform it.
you realize that they may be worried about making the person they try saving feel taken advantage of? and you’re being extremely harsh to a population in a stressful situation and acting like they should act perfectly when they weren’t trained FOR WOMEN. that’s why they use female manikins in modern CPR training. it was an educational issue, not a moral one…
