i wish women would extend men LESS empathy and kindness because that has never gotten us anywhere. centuries of women’s kindness has been thrown back in our faces through abuse, rape, and treated as less than because we weren’t born with a dick.

the guys responding online exist in real life you know. and the reason they say that shit online is because they feel comfortable because of the anonymity. guess what happens when guys like that feel a similar sense of comfort when they’re in a relationship?

I would like to believe that no one has treated us like that in person. But that’s just not the reality of it. I’ve spoken about my experiences a lot and I know many other people have shared their experiences as well.

I guess that’s the catch. In my line of work if you see that kind of thing it gets shot down immediately and ridiculed. I never see it so I guess that’s why I’m “ignorant”?

Even outside of your line of work you’ve absolutely seen it before. In schools, camps, when you leave the house- your job isn’t the only place this could happen.

Oh it’s fucking awful in the military. Military men are one of the most likely groups to domestically abuse their partners. Women in the military are super likely to get SA by commanding officers.

Idk about commanding officers but yes I agree. Usually involves superiors in general. Most common case of discrimination of woman is between other women though. Not discrediting those SA or DV cases of course
