I can say as a victim myself I’ve had too many women try to discredit or attack my experience as a man, like even if it’s mostly done by men that doesn’t invalidate my experience. Or like just because I didn’t feel the need to expressly say I’m the victim

If you believe that only certain types of people can be victims, you are shallow minded and through your beliefs, you are enabling perps to keep hurting… If you take this for what it is “perp vs victim” whereas any perp is bad and any victim should be listened to and supported, you really do support anti sexual harassment/violence.

this means a lot coming from a man who’s been sexually assaulted by a woman and wasn’t supported by his friends (who were mostly women). it’s really upsetting when both the perpetrator and some of the people I opened up to abt it were women who were SA’d but they still did what they did
