Honestly, why does it sometimes legitimately feel like women hate men? Like was talking to a friend of my friend, and she was talking about a book club, and I joked I should join and she was like nahh, all we do is bash men. Like wtf?

Go to ask men if you want a good answer, I think it’s just that you found some bad groups, most male groups aren’t like that.

1) Why are you asking this in askwomen if you’re curious about male behavior, this feels like the point of my (OOP’s) topic of hating on men? 2) Male bonding is about teasing other men to build thick skin, it’s like cats and play fighting, you might have gotten caught in the crossfire this is definitely how men treat other men. 3) Impossible standards go both ways, can’t help you there. 🤷‍♂️

I’m merely using this to point out that men do this exact same behavior. So if you can answer why men do it, you’ll probably understand women.
