RF kuang gets way too much hate and I feel like most of the people hating on her haven’t even read her books yet or are those anti woke folk who hate when POC talk about racism

I think that she’s fine yet people act like her writing is terrible

I think a lot of her stories try too hard to be intellectual and are for an audience who wants to seem intelligent or better than others. That’s just my opinion though, as someone who’s read much of her work

Oh, yes. I often see people go immediately to saying it’s awful without giving any actual valid criticism or allowing room for nuance. Personally I think her writing often contains empty intellectualism and random thoughts/topics that don’t tie into the story merely to seem smart to a lower common denominator of audience. I find a lot of her writing to be lacking, despite the praise it’s given. But it’s definitely not awful like some people say.
