Japanese all the way they make unkillable cars with cheap maintenance

I’m tryna buy a new car. So my three options is a 2011 Mercury Grand Marquis 51k miles for $5800, 2023 certified used Subaru Solterra for 21k after tax rebates 17k miles or a brand new VW Jetta for 25k. Let me know if any of yall have one of the 3.

Modern Subarus are very reliable

They are but at the same time im not a fan of any car that makes it easier to go to the stealership than work on your own vehicle

The pre-2015 n/a 4cyl is even easier to work on, the headgaskets do start to leak but they’re super easy to replace
