This why I gotta do well in school. I grew up fortunate with parents that had degrees and dual income, but they’re not financially responsible for the future kids I plan to have. I’m excited to support them financially as a hopeful doctor
I’ll never understand having kids just to raise them in poverty. You can’t afford to feed them. You’re moving them from state to state. You’re neglecting their health. You can’t afford to put them in sports, clubs, etc. You’re the reason they’re behind.

i love this and me too. luckily i grew up pretty well off but ONLY because my parents built their wealth from the ground (bankruptcy+debt) up. every year or so we go to a third world country and donate and do philanthropy. my experience from witnessing poverty while also having the privilege to fight poverty taught me to 1. work your ass off for what you want and 2. prioritize your independence, education, and financial stability before settling down
