I hate it when people who come from rich families say things like “My parents are rich. Not me.” No you’re associated with that money too. Stop trying to hide your privilege.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with people saying their rich. It can sometimes provide context to situations and allow for people to really get to know each other. I will say, some poor people can handle that tho.

To me saying that their parents are rich and they aren’t seems humble to me. They’re admitting it’s not their money.
