because i never felt like a boy and as i grew up i hated the idea of being a man. as early as i could remember i was jealous of the girls in my family just because they were girls and i wasn’t. i knew i was trans since i learned about the label at 11, and my suffering for ten years wasn’t just to chase some trend.
because every woman, both cis and trans are different. some cis women are intersex and aren’t born with a vagina and ovaries. some trans women do not have genital dysphoria, some don’t have access to surgeries, and some can’t alter their appearance meaningfully without having to save tens of thousands for surgery.
virginity is also a social construct. so is money. and time. and yet we have definitions for all of those. why is gender the only thing that’s different? and if there’s no true way to define gender, how does someone even know what they are? if there’s no definition for woman, what does it mean to feel like a woman?
The only men in women’s sports are the ones in positions of power ensuring they are constantly objectified and sexualised and ensuring their training facilities are underfunded and outdated, their pay is less than that of their counterparts, they’re scrutinised far more heavily, and that reports of sexual harassment/violence are swept away.
